My Dad was forced out on his own at a very early age. His Mother died when he was 12 and his Dad when he was 14. He was the baby of the family and his brothers and sisters were scattered from Houston,Texas, to North Carolina, and down to Orlando, Fla.

I remember the stories he used to tell about the Unions organizing in the South. There were some bloody battles. He got a job as a union organizer. He was paid to go into a town that had cotton mills and march,talk to workers, carry signs outside the business and do the same exact same thing that the original Acorn organizers did when Acorn was started.

HERE IS W HERE THE NEXT BIG HOUSING BUST IN THE MAKING...THIS IS EXACTLY HOW FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC WAS STARTED THROUGH ACORN.
February 18, 2009Obama Administration Announces Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan
President Obama formally announced this morning a new $75 billion dollar plan designed to help families prevent foreclosures and stabilize hard-hit communities. The Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan includes a loan modification program, which provides incentives for lenders to modify the loans of borrowers who are at risk of foreclosure because their incomes are not sufficient to make their mortgage payments. It also includes refinance opportunities for borrowers who are current on their mortgage payments but have been unable to refinance because their homes have decreased in value.
ACORN Housing Corp and other non-profit HUD-certified housing counseling agencies will be helping borrowers access these programs. While the program will not officially go into effect until March 4th 2009, homeowners can get started on the process NOW by filling out an application for assistance from ACORN Housing. The application is available online at http://www.acornhousinghelp.org/ or by calling 888-409-3557.
There is no fee to participate in this new program or to receive counseling from ACORN Housing. Please beware of any companies that charge you money to provide housing counseling or help modifying a delinquent loan, especially any that ask for an upfront fee.

ACORN Housing Corporation Launches New Foreclosure Prevention Website
Affordable Paterson, NJ Rentals Available
New Jersey Acorn Housing is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for 41 affordable housing rental apartments now under construction at 114 Straight Street. Download the application in English and Espanol
Texas ACORN Housing is on pace to complete the new ACORN Glenn subdivision in 2009. Twenty-one homeowners have already moved into their new homes and with 6 more new homeowners expected in April, the subdivision is starting to shape up into a vibrant new community.

Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.
House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities."
He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as "payoff" for groups' political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year.

Below is an article where Acorn supports Immigration, wanna know why? It's because the only way you can be a member of Acorn is if you are a minority. This is where they recruit members to march and organize for minimum wage and less. Go to this link and you'll see all of the Acorn workers are Black or Hispanic;

Immigration
The signs displayed in last year’s immigration marches said it so powerfully: We are America.
Immigrants care about their communities, their families and the future of the United States. They hope to achieve the American Dream. Because of their strong desire to become Americans, immigrants in 2006 joined rallies, marches and vigils all across the United States.

PAIN AND PAIN MANAGEMENT;

Think about the following when you are considering Government Run Health Care;

Pain management will continue to be an important facet of health care as America's baby boomers age and more of them develop chronic illnesses. If you are fighting pain, tell your doctor.
"Having terrible pain is not good for people. It influences all aspects of life: mood, concentration, motor performance, sleep, social relations. New evidence indicates that pain affects the immune system such that cancer cells appear to grow faster when there is pain. Being a stoic and putting up with severe pain is not necessarily good for patients."
Portenoy, MD, a pain specialist at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. "Gradually, doctors will learn that they must listen to the patient and take complaints of pain seriously. Pain is on the map now, thanks in part to the pain guidelines and thanks in part also to research that shows pain is more of a stand-alone illness than we ever thought it was. Attitudes are changing radically."
Low-back pain disables 5 million people in the U.S. and forces people to lose 93 million work days each year.
THAT’S JUST ONE TYPE OF PAIN:
A big reason for the new pain-treatment mandates," says THE DOCTOR.
"It isn't that we can't effectively treat pain in most patients. It's that many patients are way too willing to suffer quietly, not knowing that help is available -- that there is no need to suffer sometimes."
It appears that the writing is on the wall, or at least the pain chart is on the wall, when it comes to dealing with chronic pain in America, no matter what your age.
"The charts are bringing pain out of the closet," says Campbel. "When patients and doctors can discuss the existence of pain, then they can work together to make a person's quality of life much, much better."
Pain that lasts for 3 months or longer is called chronic
The cause of chronic pain is not always clear. It may occur because brain chemicals that usually stop pain after you get better from an illness or injury are not working right. Or damaged nerves can cause the pain. Chronic pain can also occur without a known cause.
SO YOU THOUGHT THERE HAD TO BE A REASON FOR THE CHRONIC PAIN? WHAT ABOUT THE AMATEUR PERSON CHECKING A DOCTORS RECORDS AND THERE IS NO DIAGNOSED REASON STATED FOR THE PAIN? WHAT ABOUT OUR DOCTORS THAT ARE AFRAID TO PRESCRIBE BECAUSE THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE REASON.
WE GOT ENOUGH PROBLEMS WITH DRUG PUSHERS TO KEEP ALL LAW INFORCEMENT BUSY AROUND THE CLOCK….SO WHY GOT ON DOCTORS FOR PRESCRIBING CHRONIC PAIN MEDICENE’S ?

If you have pain for a long time, it can make you feel very tired and may lead to depression. It can get in the way of your usual social and physical activities. You may have so much pain that you can't go to work or school. The emotional upset may make your pain worse. Your body’s defense system (immune system) may get weak, leading to lots of infections and illnesses.

which may relieve moderate to severe pain.4 Examples of opioids include morphine, oxycodone (such as OxyContin), hydrocodone with acetaminophen (such as Vicodin, Lortab, or Norco), or acetaminophen with codeine (such as Tylenol with codeine). Opioids are sometimes combined with other medicine, such as gabapentin,NEUROTIN for nerve pain.5
Epidural steroid injections (injecting steroids around the spine). Although these injections have been used for many years and may provide relief for low back or neck pain caused by disc disease or pinched nerves, they may not be effective for everyone

CHRISTIANS LIVE IN FEAR IN PAKISTAN

Christians and other religious minorities in Pakistan live in fear of persecution and even execution or murder on false charges of blasphemy against Islam, the World Council of Churches (WCC) has said. The Council, the Geneva- based global body linking Protestant and Orthodox churches in 110 countries, has called on the Pakistani government to change a law promulgated by military ruler General Zia-ul-Haq that allows for the death penalty for blaspheming Islam.
(Photo: Christians in destroyed home in Gojra, 2 Aug 2009/Mohsin Raza)
Since the law was adopted in 1986 religious minorities in the country have been “living in a state of fear and terror … and many innocent people have lost their lives,” the WCC said in a statement.
Pakistan is an overwhelmingly Muslim country where religious minorities account for roughly 4 percent — three quarters of whom are Christians — of its 170 million people.
In early August, the WCC head, Kenyan Methodist Samuel Kobia, protested to the Pakistani government over violence in Punjab province when Muslims torched Christian homes and 8 people were killed, seven of them burned to death. Reports at the time said the attacks in Gojra town were sparked by allegations, denied by church leaders as well as Pakistani government officials, that Christians had desecrated the Koran.
Pakistani government officials said the violence, which also brought protests from Pope enedict, was the work of Islamist groups linked to al Qaeda and the country’s Taliban movement.

Read our report from Geneva here.
Charges of oppression of Christians in Pakistan are frequently heard in international meetings such as the WCC session. Complaints often surface at United Nations meetings. What do you think? Are these charges justified?
Before responding, consider the following articles in the international secular and Christian press. Are they accurate? If you think they don’t portray the real situation in Pakistan, how do you think international media should report about the Christian minority in Pakistan?
